Fundamentals

Common issues

  • Make sure you have:

    • Payload Interpreter is installed

    • It is installed for the correct game version

    • You’re using the Payload Interpreter Nemesisless patch provided by BDI

    • You’re using BDI for the correct game version (original BDI for 1.5.9.7 or BDI NG for AE 1.6+)

    • If you’re using BDI NG, you are also using the original BDI as it is a requirement

  • It doesn’t matter. Just play

  • Update AMR to the latest version

  • Add the nemesis patcher to your antivirus’ exclusions. If it’s already there remove and add again

If it doesn’t work disable your antivirus

  • When running Nemesis the log will tell you which mods are installed
Example : Attack - Modern Combat Overhaul, will show : “Mod checked X : amco”

If you see a “Mod checked X : “ without a code it means Nemesis has an issue. Delete the folder “Nemesis_Engine/cache”

Depending on your setup the folder will be :

    • in your Nemesis dedicated output folder if you made one

    • in your MO2 overwrite folder

    • directly in your game installation

  • Make sure you have AMR enabled for the correct game version

  • Make sure you have the correct Address Library version for your game. Make sure it is also activated

If it is already the case, you installed one of your mod for the wrong version of the game. The error message will tell you exactly which DLL (and thus which mod) is causing it

  • Make sure you have the correct DAR version for your game (SE or AE 1.6.3. AE 1.6.6 is not supported yet)

My issue isn’t solved

  • We are trying to narrow down the issue to a single mod. The idea is to disable and enable the mods until the culprit is found. This is the tedious but will solve issues 99% of the time

    • Disable all your mods. Clear the Nemesis output

    • Make a clean save

    • Enable 5/10 mods. If there are Nemesis mods make sure to rerun Nemesis and enable the output

    • If it works enable 5/10 more. Repeat until it breaks. Make sure to run Nemesis everytime when you enable Nemesis mods. When it breaks go to the next step

    • Disable the 5/10 latest mods. Test them one by one until you find the culprit

    • Test on your regular save

  • We will be using educated guesses to accelerate the standard procedure and decide which mods to disable or not

    • Searching by theme
Example : f you CTD when entering Whiterun, it’s possible your issue would be a city, an NPC or NPC AI overhaul

    • Searching by field
Example : If you T-pose, it’s animation related. Your issue could be linked to Nemesis or DAR

If you cannot find with educated guess, you will have to resort to the standard procedure
